An Ode to A Wheel
Both sides are one.
A perfect shape
In perfect colour
At perfect angle –
Worn out tyre,
|
At road side
Where passing folk
Retells the tales
Of life’s turns,
|
In simplest terms
And honest views
What came and went
Like dust and dew,
|
The steering wheels
And has-been tyres
Exchanged the hands
Life’s true admirers,
|
The ones who can
Abide to terms
Of fame and fortune
Random turns,
|
And as life spins
Along its axis
So does the wheel
Of many chances,
|
The win and loss
The yin and yang
The black and white
Both sides are one,
|
On roadside
In dust and glory
Old country tyre
And its story.

A rather creative poem for such an unusual choice of subject matter, impressive.
Quiet invitation into reverie..
