Rain’s Circles
Counting to the infinity.
The rain draws circles
On the glass
And water’s surface
Looks at us,
|
Each drop a perfect
Circle forms
On water’s mirror
Patterns born,
|
One, two and three
And many more
Concentric lines
Precision’s awe,
|
Those tiny ripples
Add as quick
Succession falls
With rhythmic beat,
|
Ran out of numbers
Time stood still
Touched water’s face
Creator’s quill,
|
In that complete
Yet random game
The universe
Spells out its name,
|
In finite world
On single pond
The infinite
Perfects its form,
|
From line to circle
We all must
Descend to plane
And make splash last.
